ACS (Albuquerque Community Safety) brought in 13 first responders that are training at the Academy to assist with the we work in partnership with both APD and AFR.
Albuquerque Community Safety First Responders are the third branch of public safety.
Taking calls for service for Health, Substance Use, And Homelessness Issues that do not require the presence of police officers.
All calls are considered to be non-violent and non-medical mental behavioral calls.
They did a total of 39 hours in our St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store and Warehouse. We were so grateful for them choosing us to volunteer.
We will be having 25 students once a month to volunteer in our warehouse and thrift store. Today was their first day and so much got accomplished in our warehouse.
